Final Fantasy VII is a game that set the standards for all other RPGs to follow. A powerful storyline, excellent characters and a great battle system helped to make VII an instant classic. Although it’s several years old by now, VII is a truly epic game that you can never grow sick of.

Final Fantasy 8 Overview
Final Fantasy games have it pretty tough. They’re often compared to other Final Fantasy games, which isn’t an easy task for any game. A lot of fans, including me to some extent, found VIII a bit of a disappointment, but it’s by no means a bad game. It’s probably the most innovative of all the Final Fantasy games, and it’s so different that it’s likely going to take some getting used to.

Disciples 2: Dark Prophecy
Disciples 2 is a fantasy themed turn-based RPG for the PC. It is the successor to the original Disciples and the story is set several years after the events in the previous game. The same four factions including the Empire, Mountain Clans, Undead, and Legions of the Damned make a come back. Fans of the strategy RPG genre will find a lot to like in Disciple 2.

Dink Smallwood
Dink Smallwood is an indie developed RPG with Zelda like gameplay. The satirical story follows Dink, a big farmer who must defeat a mysterious cult. After its initial release, Dink Smallwood was made available for free. It continues to be a popular free indie title that’s still supported by fan-made add-ons. A mobile version was released years later.
