Wild Arms Overview
Wild Arms is a wild west themed RPG that was released for the Sony Playstation 1 in early 1997. While this game is a little dated by today’s standards, it was the first in its series and set the stage for the rest of the series which has grown to gargantuan proportions today. If you are truly a hardcore RPG fan than this is a must play for you!

Wild Arms 2 Overview
Wild Arms 2 is a game where the player controls several characters at the same time from a top down perspective. The player fights monsters and solves simple puzzles in order to progress through a mostly linear story progression. Overall Wild Arms 2 is a successful sequel to the popular Wild Arms game and is worth playing if you are a fan of the multiple character genre of RPGs.

Wild Arms 3 Overview
Wild Arms 3 is a turn based Japanese role playing game that was developed by Media Vision and was released on the Sony Playstation 2 in late 2002. This game brought the Wild Arms series back to its original wild west theme, and had beautiful cel-shaded graphics. The story in Wild Arms 4 is also very well done and holds the player’s attention while they are progressing through the game. While these aspects of the game are great there is a weird map mechanic that holds it back just a little. This mechanic has the player obtain information from NPC characters in the game, which then reveal locations on a purchasable map. While this map system is a chore, overall the game is fun and worth a play for any series RPG fan.

World of Warcraft Overview
World of Warcraft is the world’s longest running successful MMORPG. Players can choose from two factions, multiple races per faction, and many classes when creating their character. The game also offers ten years worth of content for the player to explore and leveling new characters has become easier over the years. The end game scene is also very well done and could provide countless hours of gameplay. Overall World of Warcraft is the world’s most successful MMORPG and any serious gamer should give it a try at some point.

Xenosaga Overview
Xenosaga is the continuation of the popular Xenogears game that was released for the Sony Playstation 1. While this game is not a direct sequel to Xenogears, the art style and many other aspects have been carried over from the previous game. In this game the player will make their way through a game with beautiful cut scenes, an engaging story line, and fun RPG style battles. If you are a hardcore RPG fan and own a PS2 then this is a must buy.

Generation of Chaos Overview
Generation of Chaos is a turn based strategy role playing game that revolves around managing a kingdom and controlling an army. The kingdom management aspect of the game is very unique and keeps the player excited and interesting. The combat aspect of the game works very much like rock paper scissors. Certain unit types can easily defeat others while some completely dominate. The looks alright for psp but suffers from a few issues. One issue is that the combat gets very repetitive and another is that the story is extremely weak.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Overview
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is an interesting turn based tactics role playing game that was released for the Nintendo GameBoy Advance in late 2003. The story begins with the main character getting sucked into a story book where he must fight through tactics style battles in order to learn more about his predicament. Your characters will level up through battles and learn new skills to improve your abilities. Each battle will be restricted by a judge who will ban the use of certain items or abilities which keeps the game challenging and entertaining. Overall Final Fantasy Tactics Advance was a great addition to the GameBoy Advance library.

Final Fantasy 11 Overview
Final Fantasy 11 is the first massively multiplayer online role playing game that was set in the Final Fantasy universe. Players can create their own character and set out in an open world. There is a main story quest that progresses the player through their levels at a pretty fast rate while keeping them interested and occupied. The game also supports an impressive job system which allows the player to change their class at any given time and has separate levels for each job. Overall the game looks great, supports unique class (job) systems, and has a fun combat system. The only complaints for the game involve the way the servers were created mashing more experienced Japanese players with brand new America players.
