The main story follows the character, Cecil, as he turns from a dark knight into a heroic white knight. Today this game may seem to be a cardboard cut out of every other turn based role playing game, but this was one of the first. The characters are appealing, the combat system is simple, the soundtrack is good, but there is no replayability and today the graphics are pretty dated.

The game also supports player made mods which extend the game time and allows you to play the way you want to play. The game was well thought out and the amount of sheer content in the game is enormous. That being said there are a few bugs present in the game such as objects or monsters floating over the game landscape, and there is no multiplayer supported.

Overall the story line is pretty short but it is engaging and well worth the price of the pack. That combined with all previous downloadable content surely makes this game worth a buy for any fan of Oblivion.

As the player advances through the game they will earn level which allows the character to distribute stat points and choose new skills just like most role playing games of this type. Dragon Quest 8 Overview

Dragon Quest 8 is the latest release of the legendary turn based role playing game in the Dragon Quest franchise, although this game puts a new spin on the series. Now with  a full 3-D enviroment the visuals has greatly improved over the previous games. This game also introduced a new battle feature, “tension”, which allows the player to store up a turn to make the next more powerful. Although this game looks much better than previous installments in the series it is still a turn based role playing game and the appeal for this game is probably still limited to fans of this genre.
