Phantom Brave Overview

Phantom Brave is a turn based role playing game that was released for the Sony Playstation 2 in August of 2004. This game, which is a virtual copy of the popular Disgea franchise with a few changes, is able to offer the player countless hours of gameplay. Like Disgea this game is a turn based tactics game with repayable story missions, and many different characters to collect. Where this game differs from Disgea is how items and weapons work. All of these objects can be picked up and thrown for damage, which adds another layer of tactics to the gameplay. Overall if you are a fan of tactics game then this is a great play, otherwise Disgea is a much more established series with a lot more to offer.

Pokemon: Colosseum Overview

Pokemon: Colosseum is a catch em’ all role playing game that was released for the Nintendo GameCube in early 2004. This game is very similar to Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Stadium 2 in terms of gameplay graphics, and in concept. The player can choose to either play a single player story line where they fight through a long series of battles to become the champion, or multiplayer mode which allows two players to battle one another. The game looks pretty good and the battles are well animated, but the customization options are rather limited. Overall if you are either a die hard pokemon, or are new to the series, this game is really fun and is a great multiplayer title.

It was later released on the Playstation network for the Playstation 4. In this game the player takes on the role of Jaster Rogue who goes from a farmer to a major player in a galactic conflict that threatens the fate of the entire galaxy. The game starts out very linear, but at a certain point in the game it becomes more “open world” which allows the player to explore more at their own free will. At the time of this game’s release it was praised for its amazing visuals, and the overwhelming large scale that the game creates.
