Legend of Dragoon is a turn based role playing game that had a unique combat system compared to similar games in the genre. In Legend of Dragoon the turn based combat system is active and the player must preform different attacks by completing timed combos. This combat system is very active and keeps the player interested and feeling satisfied after completing one of these combos. The characters also sport interesting character models and have decent voice actors for their moves. The story was a little weak but overall this game can be a lot of fun and offers something different compared to similar games.

It was however not without its flaws. The game can get very “grindy” very fast, and the character customization options are also very limited. Overall Lineage II was a great game for its time, but in this day and age there are many other options that could satisfy your MMORPG itch.

Monster Hunter Freedom 2 is an action oriented RPG where the player takes on the role of a bounty hunter. The hunter can choose from a list of missions which all vary in difficulty. There are exceptions but most missions involve the player hunting down and capturing a single monster. These fights can range from twenty minutes to fifty minutes and prove to be challenging for even the most seasoned gamers. Where this game really shines is its multiplayer aspects. You can join your fellow hunters on missions and help that defeat their foes that they could normally not beat by themselves. Overall the game is really fun but it is also very difficult so more seasoned gamers are more likely to enjoy this gem.

In this game the player creates characters from different objects which all provide different base stats for that character. Then the player uses their homemade characters to battle through different story based stages in tactics style combat. The game has some interesting mechanics such as the character creation process, but otherwise it is almost identical to other NIS games such as Phantom Brave and Disgaea.
