Lufia: Ruins of Lore Overview
Lufia: Ruins of Lore is a traditional style role playing game that is part of the popular Lufia series. This game takes place 20 years after the events that occurred in the game Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. Lufia: Ruins of Lore plays much like many other traditional style role playing games but differs in one major area. In this game the player sees every monster he or she is about to fight and the battle on begins when you make contact with that monster. Overall the game is pretty solid for a handheld RPG and fans of the franchise will have a lot to enjoy.

Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga is a role playing game for the Nintendo DS that has a unique, active, combat system. In this game the player controls Mario and Luigi at the same time in and out of battle. By learning new Bro moves and attacks the player is able to control these two characters in order to defeat enemies and solve puzzles. The game also has a charming story line that keeps the player laughing throughout the game. Overall Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga is a very fun play.

Mazes of Fate Overview
Mazes of Fate is a first person role playing game that is similar to many other games in the genre such as Eye of the Beholder. The player chooses from three basic character classes such as warrior, rogue, and mage. The player may also create their own character class allowing them to customize their own character’s role. The game includes dungeons, towns, and a world hub and going to these locations either advances the story line or allows the player to shop for new items. Overall if you are a fan of the traditional style of role playing game then this is the game for you.

Phantasy Star Collection Overview

The character models are very visually appealing and the setting is charming. Overall these are classic games and any serious RPG gamer should give them a try at least once.

Sword of Mana is an action role playing game that was released for the GBA. This game, which is an enhanced remake of the original Final Fantasy Adventure, puts the player in the role of a nameless hero or heroine. The combat system is active and the player has complete control of their character throughout the game. The battles are fun and rather challenging, which keeps the game fresh throughout the play through. Overall Sword of Mana is a fun action RPG but appeal may be limited to fans of the genre or fans of the franchise.
