Tales of Phantasia Overview
Tales of Phantasia is a role playing game that was originally released for the SNES. In this game the player controls on character in a live action combat system which allows the player to run around and completely control their character. The other characters in the party are computer controlled and their special moves can be used manually by the player. The story is charming and is sure to keep the player interested throughout the play through.

Tales of Symphonia Overview
Tales of Symphonia is an action role playing game that was released on two discs for the Nintendo GameCube. The combat system was real time which was a rare occurrence for the Nintendo GameCube. The story line was very memorable and well thought out and offered many hours of gameplay for the player. Overall the game was very entertaining and had good replay value.

Tao’s Adventure: Curse of the Demon Seal Overview
Tao’s Adventure: Curse of the Demon Seal is a role playing game for the Nintendo DS. The player takes on the role of Tao who must collect a rare monster egg from a tower. The game is played by advancing up levels in the tower. The game attempted to utilize the touch controls for casting spells and doing actions, but overall this implementation failed and the game was a lemon. Overall this game was poorly designed and worth skipping.

Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom Overview
Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom is a hack and slash role playing game that was released for the Playstation 3. This game plays almost identically to previous Untold Legends titles which stays true to the traditional RPG format. This version of the game allows the player to play as either a warrior, a mage, or a scout. The game has fun combat mechanics, but an overall weak story line. If you are a fan of the traditional role playing game template then this game is worthy of your collection.

Untold Legends: Warrior’s Code is a hack and slash role playing game that was released in early 2006. This game is the sequel to the handheld game Untold Legends; Brotherhood of the Blade. The iteration of the game includes five more playable classes, improved controls, more multiplayer modes, and shorter load times. If you are a fan of the traditional hack and slash gameplay that this game supports then this is a great buy for the PSP.

Where the game falls short is its sub-par story. Other than that Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga is a great game and worthy of any serious RPG gamer’s library.

Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth Overview
Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is a port of the original Valkyrie Profile game. This new version supports fresher graphics, and tuned up game mechanics. The game plays like a role playing game but has a more unique combat system. In this combat system the player can choose one attack from multiple characters which makes this game quite different than most in the genre. Overall if you are a fan of the JRPG genre then this game is a must play classic.

Wild Arms Overview
Wild Arms is a wild west themed RPG that was released for the Sony Playstation 1 in early 1997. While this game is a little dated by today’s standards, it was the first in its series and set the stage for the rest of the series which has grown to gargantuan proportions today. If you are truly a hardcore RPG fan than this is a must play for you!

Wild Arms 2 Overview
Wild Arms 2 is a game where the player controls several characters at the same time from a top down perspective. The player fights monsters and solves simple puzzles in order to progress through a mostly linear story progression. Overall Wild Arms 2 is a successful sequel to the popular Wild Arms game and is worth playing if you are a fan of the multiple character genre of RPGs.
