In this game the player takes on the role of a new pirate who is in search for wealth and adventure. The controls are rather simple and easy to learn, and effects such as wind and weather also play an active role in the game, which increases the level of strategy. Overall Side Meier’s Pirates! is a great pirate simulator that can offer many hours of exciting gameplay, as long as you are ok with the lack of obvious goals and game objectives.

The player takes on the role of Vyse, a young pirate, who is looking to make a name for himself in the world and rescue his loved one. The game centers around an airship which allows the player to freely fly around the game world. The combat system is turn based and rather addictive. The game’s new engine and updated graphics make this game much more enjoyable to play compared to the original and the new content keeps the game fresh for returning players. Star Ocean: Till the End of Time Overview
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time is an action role playing game that was one of the best selling games on the Sony Playstation 2. This game which has beautiful anime inspired graphics for its time, has an easy to learn action oriented gameplay which keeps the player engaged and wanting to get to the next random encounter in order to practice their combat skills “just one more time”. This RPG also has amazing voice acting, which almost makes up for its lack luster story. Overall if you are a fan of the JRPG genre, then Star Ocean: Till the End of Time is the game for you!

Suikoden Overview
Suikoden is a traditional turn based role playing game that was created by Konami and was released for the Sony Playstation 1 in late 1996. This game is a cult classic that has spawned multiple sequels. The shining feature of this game is the extremely large cast of playable characters that keep combat interesting throughout your play through. The only complaint that I could come up with is that the large cast of characters means that some are underdeveloped.

Summoner 2 Overview
Summoner 2 is an action oriented RPG that was released for the PS2 and GameCube in late 2002. The game supports a real time combat system where the player casts spells to defeat their foes. The spells are cast over time and more complex spells take longer to cast. Beside from the fun combat system there are other game modes where the player’s main character influence the local towns changing what services they are able to offer. Overall Summoner 2 is a great action RPG that is worth playing if you are a fan of the genre.
