InuYasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask is an action role playing game that puts the player in the shoes of the hero or heroin of the InuYasha anime and manga series. This is a basic action adventure role playing game that has very simple combat mechanics. Where the game differs from other games of the genre is how the player interacts with other characters in their party. Throughout the game the play will get the chance to rest with the other main characters from the show. During this time the player can make choices that later influence how their character develops. While this game is very simple action RPG it is sure to please fans of the anime and manga series.

Deus Ex Overview
Deus Ex is rated as one of, if not the best, PC games of all time. This science fiction thriller combines first person shooter, stealth, and role playing elements as the player plays through real life inspired conspiracy theories. The combat system, the story line, and the game overall has a lot to offer almost all gamers and it is hard to dislike this game. What really stands out about this game is the way it combined the interface of Doom, with the adventure aspects of Mario 64, and role playing elements, and did it successfully. Again it is really hard to say anything bad about this game and it should appeal to pretty much any gamer, except maybe that the graphics are now pretty dated.

Def Jam Vendetta Overview
Def Jam Vendetta is a fighting game that combines pro wrestling and Hip Hop to create a unique game that is worth playing for the Sony Playstation 2 and the Nintendo GameCube. The Hip Hop theme adds a new flair to what was once a dying genre. With fun gameplay and quirky characters this game can be really fun. Although the combat can be really fun and the soundtrack is good, the appeal for this game is most likely limited to fans of pro wrestling and Hip Hop music.

Death Jr. II: Root of Evil Overview
Death Jr. II: Root of Evil is the sequel to the original launch gave for the Sony PSP, Death Jr. In this game players start out in a mall where Death Jr.’s father, Death, is captured and players must play through a platforming style game to rescue him. While the combat is relatively fun it is rather clunky and the overall story is not very engaging and gets old pretty quick.

Death Jr. Overview
Death Jr. was the launch game for the Sony PSP where players control the Grim Reaper’s son in this action oriented platforming game. In this quirky Tim Burton style game players make their way through several different stages where you solve puzzles and locate the souls of your friends. While this game received mediocre reviews all around it was praised for it’s art works and visuals.

Command and Conquer: Generals is a real time strategy role playing game and the seventh installment in the Command and Conquer series. The game plays similarly to games such as Starcraft and Warcraft but is set in a more realistic setting. Players can choose from The United States, China, or a Terrorist organization as they implement strategy to defeat their foes, or save the world. While this game is a great play for any fan of the real time strategy genre, new players to this type of game will most likely be confused and have a hard time picking it up.

Brute Force Overview
Brute Force is a third person squad based shooter that sports a unique combat system. This combat systems allows players to implement strategy and cunning to defeat their enemies in this action packed game for the Xbox. The player controls five different characters each with their own back story, Tex, Brutus, Hawk, Flint, and Bratton. The game has an exciting combat system, but the story is rather short with only six in game missions, although there is a multiplayer mode that prolongs the game experience.

Half-Life Overview
Half-Life is a legendary first person shooter that was released for the PC in late 1998. In this game the player takes on the role of Gordon, a scientist who is thrust into a story filled with conspiracies and betrayal. Throughout the game Gordon must fight monsters from another dimension in order to set the world right. The game has a great first person combat system that is both challenging and rewarding. The story line is also really well done and keeps the player interested throughout the game’s length. Overall Half-Life is one of those must play games that every gamer should beat at least once.
